Garry Dawes & Terry Allen
Our sincere condolences to the family of Garry Dawes. Garry loved to hunt and was an old, dear friend of Tim's that hunted at the club whenever his health would permit. He was the life of the party when he was out there and all the hunters loved him. Sunday, Dec. 30, 2007, Garry was in the pit at Tim's club, he reached for his gun when the birds came in, and we are not sure of how or why his gun discharged, but he accidentally shot himself. No one else was injured. Although there were four other hunters in the same pit, because they were all on their feet, no one actually saw the incident. Tim was not at the club that morning. He stayed home to go to church with his new wife. Hunter was in a different pit. Garry was 54 yr. of age. Please, keep the Dawes family in your prayers.
Terry Allen and Garry hunted together at Tim's club every day they could. We buried Terry on Nov. 17, 2007 and we buried Garry Jan. 3, 2008. These two men will be missed by Tim and by all of us. Just good honest people that loved to be in the goose pit. It is a sad way to end 2007!!
